If you want to offer a workshop for children, please email Phil, Children's Area Coordinator on info@lytproductions.co.uk
Workshops are scheduled as 90 minute sessions, indoors (e.g. lucid dreaming) and outdoors (e.g. foraging). The workshops are scheduled into a tight programme – we unfortunately cannot schedule workshops that are shorter or longer in duration. We ask that each workshop leader leaves the last 10 minutes of their 90 minutes session for packing up and the next leader preparing (i.e. your workshop delivery is 80 minutes).
Please fill out this application form, but before applying please take into consideration all the bullet points below:
• If your application is accepted, you do not need purchase a general admission ticket. Your workshop contribution entitles you to your ticket only. We would love to welcome your family for free but there are too many of you! Also, please do not bring any pets either.
• 99% of our workshop leaders facilitate solo. If you need to run a workshop with someone else or require an assistant to run your workshop and expect them to have a free ticket, you must include this in the application form and explain their role. We cannot 'add' facilitators to your workshop later on, you will need to reapply. This is because we only have a certain number of allocated workshop leader tickets and the number of facilitators is considered when accepting a workshop.
• Workshop leaders are asked to offer two workshops in exchange for their ticket. You can offer the same workshop twice or two different workshops. Two different workshops are preferable.
• The workshop description and workshop leader biography that you provide will be posted on our Into the Wild outputs, e.g. social media and our website.
• You can arrive from Thursday at 3pm and must leave by 1pm on Monday.
About the workshop delivery:-
• Please bear in mind that the structures in which workshops are held are grass or matted only.
• You cannot bring your vehicle onto the main site. If you have items for your workshop, you might consider using one of our pull trugs available at the arrival gates.
• All of our workshops are free of cost to the guests. This is really important. It means no ‘donations’ too.
• Workshops are not pre-booked and the capacity will be who arrives and the venue size, i.e. please do not apply if you only want a certain number of participants. We sometimes get applications from workshop leaders wanting to offer a workshop to a set, small number of participants - and this doesn't work with a festival environment.
• All of the workshop venues other than the main tent (which is used specifically for larger dance workshop) do not have electricity. Workshop leaders regularly bring their own fully charged laptop and portable speakers to play quiet music during their workshop. The structure will be a beautifully decorated tent, but you will need to bring any 'things' that you need.
• It's really appreciated if you can kindly ask your workshop participants to leave the space when you finish, taking their conversations outside. This makes setting up a lot easier for the next workshop leader.
