LFAW Fostering Programs
We
typically place puppies and kittens under 8 weeks, sick (short term or chronically ill) animals, and animals just generally needing a break or not
doing well in the shelter environment into foster homes. We provide all the food,
medications, veterinary care, supplies, and anything else the pet needs, all we
require is that the foster animal will be kept safely in the home and loved and
treated as a pet, that you are able to bring them to our clinic or our partner
hospital for all needed vet care (transport options for vet care available if
you can get them to the shelter at least), and that you maintain contact with
us for any needs, medical or behavior issues or changes, etc., and how the
animal is doing in the home.
