REGISTRATION to SEA-EU DOC Training Event - 17-21 May 2021 [online]: Career development for doctoral students in marine sciences
Based on a consortium bringing together the doctoral schools of the 6 partner universities of the Alliance of European Universities SEA-EU (Cadiz, Brest, Kiel, Gdansk, Split and Malta), SEA-EU-DOC is an Erasmus + Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education project focused on doctoral studies in marine, maritime and coastal sciences.

The SEA-EU DOC project aims to broaden the employment opportunities, particularly in the non-academic world, of doctoral students in Marine Sciences, by working on the development and transferability of the skills acquired during the doctorate and their applications in a context of professional integration. In this context, training activities will be organised to raise awareness among doctoral students about the possibility to asprire to a career outside academia.

The first training event will be organised online by the Université de Bretagne Occidentale in Brest from 17 to 21 May 2021 and will be dedicated to the following topics: career paths beyond academia: career development planning, skills, networking, applying to a job offer and preparing for an interview. This event will bring together 60 doctoral students selected from the 6 SEA-EU universities. The number of participants for each university is set at 10 doctoral students.
