Aledo PTO Committee Interest Form
Interested in one of our committees of the Aledo PTO?  Please read through the following descriptions and then fill out the rest of the form.  Please note that to be considered for a committee position, you will need to be a current paid member of Aledo PTO. Someone will be in contact with you.  THANK YOU for your interest!

Audit Committee:  The duty of the Audit Committee is to review the report made by the Treasurer for accuracy. The committee will review at the middle and conclusion of the fiscal year and report its findings to the Executive Board. We are looking for two detailed oriented volunteers for this committee.  

Bearcat Beginnings- We are looking for a total of 3 volunteers per \ campus for this committee which welcomes families new to Aledo each month. Duties includes reaching out to new families that opt in to the program, inviting them to and attending the monthly mixers and inviting them to join you at campus/district PTO meetings.

Concessions Committee:  The duty of the Concessions Committee is to coordinate concession sales and volunteers for any student activity requested by a Principal and approved by the Executive Board. We are seeking a chair person and volunteers for this committee.

Hospitality Committee:  The duty of the Hospitality Committee is to coordinate hospitality activities requested by Aledo PTO at events that support Aledo PTO’s purpose not already organized by the Campus Representatives; such as refreshments for Parenting University and district wide staff appreciation in the Spring (helping to deliver items to the auxiliary staff).

Membership Committee:  The duty of the Membership Committee is to promote membership in the organization. The Membership Chairperson shall, in cooperation with the Treasurer, conduct the annual membership enrollment drive in the fall, and shall keep an accurate list of members enrolled and dues paid, and shall verify the list with the Treasurer.

Scholarship Committee:  It shall be the duty of the Scholarship Committee, in coordination with the high school counselors and principal, to select the recipients of the PTO scholarships. We are seeking volunteers to review applications in the spring, and committee members cannot have a child currently in grades 9-12.

School Supplies Committee:  It shall be the duty of the School Supplies Committee to coordinate the sale and distribution of school supplies in cooperation with Aledo ISD Administration as a service to the staff and families of Aledo ISD.

Shattered Dreams Committee:  It shall be the duty of the Shattered Dreams Committee to attend meetings about and coordinate hospitality activities for the Shattered Dreams program at Aledo High School.
