What are we doing?
Connect Wetaskiwin is piloting a new way to deepen community in Wetaskiwin. We want to look at the great things that currently exist in our community and come together to create a community plan using Asset Based Community-Led Development (ABCD).
Why are we doing it?
We want to create a community where people foster strong relationships, are aware of opportunities for our citizens, and have pride in our little city.
How will we do it?
We will be:
1. Connecting with Wetaskiwin residents and asking them about their strengths, what they think our community strengths are, and how to build a stronger, better community.
2. Supporting residents as they work towards creating an action plan to achieve their goals for their community.
The Survey – there are 3 parts
Part 1 is some information so that we can get to know you.
Part 2 consists of a few ranking questions to help us find patterns within our community.
Part 3 consists of open-ended questions regarding your gifts, skills, and passions.
What will we do with this information?
We will compile a list of skills, talents and interests. This will help us figure out what most people are interested in and what most people need from their community.
Then we will have a celebration and share that information (excluding personal identifiers) with the community.
We will not share your name without your permission. We will only share information about the strengths in this community and what people think their community needs.
