We are currently looking for adult volunteers to assist us in our day camp!
This Summer, our Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership (YIWCL) day camp will be in-person once again! We plan to meet daily from July 11th to July 22nd, from 9AM to 4PM.

The theme this year is miyo pimâtisiwin, and we will be focused on strengthening and returning to traditional values, through cultural activities. The young women (oskinikiskwewak) are encouraged to delve into their past learning and experiences, and to develop new understandings by feeling comfortable asking questions! We want to support their learning to lead from where they are!

As a volunteer, you will be working as a group leader, someone that will assist a small cohort of young ladies during lessons and activities, and to act as a touch-point for larger outings. You will be working with other volunteer-leaders, Cree instructors and Elders; as such, you will be in a prime position to strengthen and share your own Cree language and cultural teachings!

It is important for us to continue to learn our Indigenous languages and to actively speak them, in order to feed our spirits!
