Description of GWC @ Columbia University
The Girls Who Code Clubs Program Experience:

This club chapter meets once a week on Saturday mornings on Columbia University's campus. Selected girls are taught computer science including project-based activities by a teacher alongside TA's in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment. As participants, girls are expected to attend all meetings as there is a strict attendance policy. Girls will also be provided with mentors from the Columbia University community.

We have two classes available:
Class 1 covers introductory computer science with Python, a popular generic programming language. Meets from 10am-12:30pm.
Class 2 covers introductory HTML/CSS, which is used to design web pages. Meets from 12:45pm-3:15pm.

Based on your application we will determine which class is better suited to make your experience the best possible if you do not specify!

Please note that as of this time, transportation will be given on a need-only basis. We have limited funding to cover transportation costs, so a separate transportation-need application can be requested.
