PMEA District 5 is offering a limited number of scholarships to its active members to help enhance the quality of education they are providing to their students. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible members on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual budgeted amount for the program has been fully awarded. Scholarships may be used towards enrollment in a college class, certification program, or workshop. The maximum amount awarded per teacher will be $500.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be active members of PMEA who teach at a school in District 5.
- Courses taken may be in person or online.
Award Process:- Teachers must submit verification of (1) successful completion of a music-related course and (2) a copy of an itemized proof of payment for the course. These should be sent to the current District 5 Treasurer, Michelle Caldwell (morris.pmea@gmail.com).
- The scholarship check is payable only to the applicant.
