Campbell Rotary Ethics in Business Awards 2022
Campbell Rotary annually presents its Ethics in Business Awards to celebrate businesses and business owners in Campbell, Willow Glen, and West San José who exemplify Rotary's “Four-Way Test” through a spirit of giving and a track record of ethical and excellent customer service.

This year, we are particularly interested in learning about local businesses that have gone above and beyond in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES BELOW AND SUBMIT UP TO (2) NOMINATIONS USING THE FORM TO FOLLOW.

Scope
Nominees shall be businesses (sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, or for-profit corporation) with an active presence in Campbell, Willow Glen, and/or West San José, generally within the following ZIP codes: 95008, 95117, 95118, 95124, 95125, 95126, 95128, 95129, and 95130
Criteria
Awards will be presented to businesses which exemplify Rotary’s Four-Way Test:

IS IT THE TRUTH? (Honesty)
Does the business represent its product or service clearly and accurately?
Does it make every reasonable effort to fulfill the letter and spirit of its commitments?
Is the business proactive in correcting mistakes and/or misunderstandings?

IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED? (Justice)
Does the business abide by all laws, regulations, and best practices related to its industry?
Does the business have a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, religion, gender identity, disability, and/or other protected class?
Does the business value the opinions of its clients, customers, and employees?

WILL IT BUILD GOODWILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? (Community)
Does the business maintain an active presence in local community-based organizations?
Does the business provide opportunities for employees to contribute to the welfare of the community through participation in local CBOs and service projects?
Does the business provide a program to match charitable contributions of its employees?

IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED? (Betterment)
Does the business provide good value to its clients and/or customers?
Does the business demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement of its products and/or services?
Does the business encourage its employees to develop skills that will help them advance in their professional lives and provide resources for them to do so?
Nominations
Nominations will be accepted via this web form. Paper nomination forms may be made available on request. Any member of the community may submit up to two (2) nominations per year.

PLEASE NOTE: Past winners of the award are NOT eligible.

Selection
Upon the close of the nomination period, the Campbell Rotary Board of Directors will appoint an Awards Subcommittee to review nominations and make a recommendation to the Board for award recognitions. Subcommittee members will review all nominations according to the criteria defined above. Based on their final ranking, the Board will choose 1-3 businesses to receive the Ethical Business(es) of the Year Award for 2021.

Recognition
Winner(s) of the Ethical Business of the Year (EBOY) Award shall receive a plaque to display at their business recognizing the award and will also be recognized with:

An announcement on the Campbell Rotary website;
An announcement in a Campbell Rotary e-newsletter and media release;
A ceremony at a Campbell Rotary meeting; and
An announcement at Campbell Rotary’s Orchard City Chili Cookoff.
