BOE Public Comment April 25, 2024
The request to submit a public comment link will be available starting Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and will close on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. If you are signing up as part of a group, only one member of the group should complete the form. You will be asked to provide the names/email/phone# of your group members.

It is the Board of Education's policy not to hear in public session personal complaints against any district personnel. In addition, it is a violation of federal law to discuss in public or elsewhere individual student issues.

During the public comment section of the Board meeting the Board President, will call each person who has provided a phone number on the google form to participate in public comment over the phone. The President will call to the podium each person who has indicated on the google form they wish to address the Board in person.

If you are providing public comment by phone, you must mute the live stream while you are speaking on the phone. State your name, affiliation, and comment to be heard in the meeting. If a call is not answered, the Board President will move onto the next person.

If there are 19 or fewer individuals signed up to make public comment to the Board, each individual will be limited to 3 minutes. If there are 20 or more individuals signed up to make public comment to the Board, each individual will be limited to 2 minutes.  Public comment as a whole during this agenda item will be limited to 90 minutes in an effort to honor the other important work of the Board scheduled for the evening. Any additional requests for public comment not accommodated during the earlier agenda item will be heard at the end of the Board meeting. Individuals may also submit comments to the Board via email.

If comments are reflective of a previous speakers’ comments or position, we ask speakers to simply state that for the record so it can be recorded and allow the next speaker to address the Board. This will ensure that the Board can hear from as many parents and community members as possible.
