We have every hope that we will be holding Institute in-person this summer, with safety measures in place. At the same time, we're making contingency plans.
 
Provided that health metrics improve, we will follow our usual plan to rent space from Montgomery County so that we can spread out in school classrooms and welcome everyone who wants to join us. There has been talk, though, that the county may not allow indoor rentals in the schools for the summer. Our contingency plan will be to host Institute at the REV Office in Rockville; however, this will mean that fewer students will be able to attend in-person. If this is the case, we will enroll participants in the order in which their registrations and deposits are received.
 
We've also learned that some students simply prefer to participate virtually. We will continue to offer virtual participation options for Institute no matter the in-person situation. Our registration form will include an option for participants to select virtual participation.
 
If you are planning to register for in-person participation, please note that masks will be required for all students and communication partners in order to keep everyone safe.

A decision about whether we will remain open on July 5 (a Monday) will be made by June 25.
