Ents Crew Applications 2024
Use this form to apply to a wide range of volunteer roles within the Entertainment (Ents) Area of the Green Gathering 
1st - 4th August 2024, Chepstow

All Green Gathering Crew must be at least 18 years old when they first arrive onsite (it's an insurance thing). 

There are a variety of jobs available within the Ents Team. Artist Liaison requires people for several different roles and we also need MCs, Stage Managers, Sound Engineers, Venue Managers and Venue Staff, and help pre-festival with organisation and admin.

Feel free to tell us if there’s something you’d particularly like to do (or avoid!), and we’ll see what we can do.

Artist Liaison (looking after bands and their needs as they arrive and during the festival) requires a team who all must be available onsite by 5pm on Tuesday 30th July  

Some other responsibilities can start earlier than Monday 29th July. There are no roles available for anyone who cannot be onsite before 10pm on Wednesday 31st July 

Whilst a need to leave site before the end of the festival is not a barrier to applying, we prefer crew to stay around for the hour-long team debrief at noon on Monday 5th and ideally until the morning of Tuesday 6th.  Ents tidy-up and tat-down mostly happens on the afternoon of the 5th… many hands make lighter work all round.

All meals are provided from the time you are asked to arrive until (and including) breakfast on Tuesday 6th. It may be possible to turn up earlier than your role requires but you must let us know about this beforehand.  Food will not be provided before your role starts – you'll need to fend for yourself.

Camping and parking space is really good but size-limited.  Please do not plan to bring a big tent (ideally smaller than 2m x 5m including guy ropes). You can also bring your live-in camper van (instead!), but let us know if it's going to be bigger than a transit… and don't expect there to be any room for an awning!

Volunteers are expected to give 24 hours work in exchange for their ticket and their meals. Travel expenses are not normally available at this level of involvement, but let us know if that will be a barrier to you.

If you would like to work in Artists Liaison, please let us know your preferred roles.
Roles include:
Box office: Working on the gates checking tickets and issuing passes/wristbands for artists and their guests. (A familiarity with excel/eventree would be an advantage)
Front Desk: Welcoming Artists and their guests upon arrival, answering questions and being the face of Artists Liaison (best suits people who enjoy customer facing roles and can be admin heavy)
Artists Camping: Showing Artists & their guests to the campsite, helping camper vans park and dealing with any pitch issues. (Requires a friendly but assertive personality and ability to work under pressure)
Lock Up: Managing the storage unit used by artists, ensuring gear is looked after and signed in/out (people with good organisational skills will shine here)
Trikes/Barrows: Driving our Trikes/Barrows to help artists move their equipment between stages and our lockup (gear can be very heavy so a certain level of physical fitness is a must)
