What is Planned Parenthood of Greater New York?
For over 100 years, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY) has been a beacon of hope for the thousands of individuals and families who rely on us for essential sexual and reproductive health care, innovative educational programs, and effective advocacy. Our New York City health centers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island provide state-of-the-art reproductive health care. Whether the need is for contraception, pregnancy tests, abortion services, or tests for sexually transmitted infections, we are here for our patients – regardless of their age, gender, immigration status, or ability to pay.
What is Project STIQ (Supporting Teens in Queens)?
Project STIQ is an exciting new youth program from Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY).
Our goal is to work in partnership with schools and community-based organizations in Jackson Heights, North Corona and East Elmhurst to implement programming for youth, families, and professionals within the community.
Project STIQ delivers a series of workshops for both middle- and high school-aged youth that promotes positive futures, discourages risky behaviors, and offers age-appropriate sexual health information.
Program participants can receive resources to youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care and positive youth development services.
