HR 453 is legislation which urges support for the Family Roots Genealogy Pilot Program as it provides African American descendants of enslaved individuals the opportunity to trace their roots back to their ancestral homelands, to reconnect with their ancestral heritage, and to promote their well-being. This resolution was approved on February 8, 2024 and is scheduled to be introduced on the House of Representative Floor hopefully in February 2024.
