The Commons is a cafe and laundromat that serves all members of the community and seeks to be a catalyst for business along Mack Avenue. We are looking to hire baristas who will engage warmly with a diverse clientele, work hard and multi-task, and be willing to learn. Coffee experience is a plus, but is not necessary.
The role involves:
• Making and serving coffee
• Operating the cash register
• Washing and folding laundry
• Regular cleaning of the café, bathrooms, and laundry area
• Restocking of food and retail products
• Helping to create a warm and welcoming environment
The ideal candidate:
• Enjoys manual work and routine
• Is outgoing and friendly
• Is a fast learner
• Can work as early as 6.30a and as late as 10p
