19th KMA Youth Music E-Competition - Submission
Thank you for your participation in our 19th KMA Youth Music Competition. We appreciate your flexibility in adapting to the new e-competition format. We are excited to hear your performances!

In order to be eligible for the competition, your Youth Music Competition application must have been submitted and accepted. If you have not submitted the application yet, please go here: https://kmawa.org/kma-40th-autumn-concert/

The deadline for the competition submission is May 16th at 10 am.

Please read the rules for the video below:
1. Eligible entrants should start the video by introducing his/her name and the repertoire.
2. The video quality should be 1080p HD or above
3. The video should be taken in a well-lit room
4. Editing is not permitted. You can, however, record each piece or movement separately.
5. For non-pianists, accompaniment is optional. It is possible for you to perform with a pre-recorded accompaniment track (you could hire a pianist to record your accompaniment, then perform for us with the recording of the piano part instead of a live pianist, due to social distancing limitations).
6. You should stipulate camera set-up—for violinists, adjudicators prefer to have the camera set up a little further away from the performer so they can see your whole stance. Your f-holes of your instrument (not the scroll of your violin) should be parallel to the camera. This way adjudicators can see your bow angle and contact point. If you record on your phones, the landscape setting is better than the vertical setting.
7. For pianists, the camera position should capture the entire keyboard from the right side (audience side). Position the camera higher than the keyboard, but not too much (for a good view of entire keyboard). Make sure nothing is blocking the keyboard. Record on the piano that brings out your best.
