The Canadian Prairies Prescribed Fire Exchange (CPPFE) is partnering with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) to host this event.
This intensive 5-day event
will provide mentored
learning opportunities and hands on experiences
from a diverse multi-partner group of prescribed fire
practitioners.
It is an opportunity to learn, grow and build strong partnerships.
Event will be capped at 30 participants, with a waiting list for additional participants.

SUPERVISOR INFORMATION
Though not required, we strongly suggest receiving your supervisor's approval prior to participation.
If you are a paid employee, home units will be responsible for paying your wages while participating at this training. Participants and/or employers are responsible for all logistical and administrative arrangements regarding paid or vacation time, and any overtime accrued during TREX.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EQUIPMENT CONTRIBUTION.
During all live-fire drills, participants are required to wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE). This equipment includes fireline-approved boots (all leather work boots, non-slip soles and no steel toe), Nomex clothing (or equivalent Fire Resistant clothes), all leather gloves, eye protection, and a hard hat with ear protection. Participants that do not own PPE will be able to borrow it free of charge, except for boots. Participants must bring their own boots.
