About Institution: Agri Biotech Foundation (Formerly Andhra Pradesh-Netherlands Biotechnology Programme) is an autonomous interdisciplinary research institute engaged in promotion of agricultural biotechnologies and human resource development. The foundation has been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. ABF works closely with India's premier research organizations like Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and also National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). ABF focuses on agri technology development and technology transfer, public engagement on technology policy issues and HRD activities.
Aim of the programme: To develop trained manpower in the area of Microbial Biotechnology with theoretical and practical knowledge.
Course content: Course will cover orientation lectures along with hands-on experience in Microbial Biotechnology lab techniques like Culturing of bacteria, Isolation and purification of bacterial cultures, Enumeration of Bacteria, Maintenance and preservation of cultures, Isolation of plasmid and genomic DNA, Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of DNA, PCR, Demonstration and transformation of Bacteria, Qualitative Analysis of Protein by SDS-PAGE, Fluorescent Microscopy etc.

Eligibility: Graduate and Post Graduate students in life sciences, lecturers working in allied area in the universities and private colleges, persons working in relevant industries and entrepreneurs.
