Join us as we begin our new year with an in-person gathering at BWC from 6:30-8:30pm on 9/27/23. Following a discussion of AFREJ commitments and coalitions, we will host a (hybrid) program from 7-8pm with Andrew Steinberg from JALSA, the Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action. We will learn about the bills that JALSA supports in the Massachusetts State Legislature to achieve economic justice, combat climate change, address the housing crisis, and advance solutions for other pressing issues. The program also includes a virtual action for folks to contact their legislators about these policy priorities. Whether new to AFREJ or an AFREJ veteran, we welcome you! Andrew Steinberg is an organizer for the Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action (JALSA).
