Team Background Information
I'm forming 2 separate teams this time:
1. An ARC Team - This is for those who would like an advance copy of To Begin Again to read and review. Early copies will go out in early June, and reviews should be left by mid-July on retail sites and possibly the reader's blog/social media.
2. A Launch Team -This is for those who are willing to read and review an advance copy like the ARC team, but they're also willing to go the extra mile to promote the book. I'll send emails with instructions and graphics to make this as easy as possible, but I could really use help creating buzz!
Prerequisite:
Spots are limited on both teams, and I'm looking for enthusiastic readers with a love for my stories. This time, there are two options to qualify for the team. You can either provide a link to a review or social media post you've published about one of my past books, or you can pre-order To Begin Again. (I mean, I appreciate pre-orders either way, but I know some of you are on a tight budget, so I wanted to offer an alternative!)
What you should know about To Begin Again:
To Begin Again is clean, Christian fiction, but at the outset of the story, neither Philip nor Michaela are practicing Christians. They make a lot of mistakes, but I like to think the difficulty pays off—theirs is my favorite ending of the series. If it lends helpful perspective, Michaela's character was inspired by Michal, David's wife and Saul's daughter. Difficult subjects addressed include prescription drug abuse, alcohol, sex, and cancer.
The full blurb:
Every dream comes at a price.
Michaela Vandehey’s reality show win transformed her from the girl whose own father ignored her into a pop singer loved by the masses. But fame has proven hard to keep. To bolster her floundering career, she heads to Wisconsin to snag a collaboration with the iconic rock band Awestruck. There, she meets bass guitarist Philip, a dad whose devotion challenges her skepticism about love and family.
Whatever faith Philip Miller had died with his wife. Now, “Amazing Grace” is nothing but a lullaby to sing to his children in her memory. Thanks to Awestruck, he can provide privileged lives for his kids, but he has no intention of finding love again. If only he weren’t so drawn to Michaela.
When he falls for her despite himself, Michaela learns the dark secret that threatens his family’s future. The grace they’ve heard so much about might grant them the fresh start they need, but to begin again, they’ll first have to sacrifice what they hold most dear.
