Purpose: The Zeta Sigma Foundation, Inc. in conjunction with the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. awards high school seniors three (3) one-time scholarships to young men in the Baltimore Maryland area that exhibit academic achievement, leadership qualities and community involvement.
Categories: 1) Joseph O. Woodfolk Memorial Scholarship (one award) 2) High School Senior (two awards)
Amount: Each of the three recipients will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $1,000.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by June 30, 2023. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Awards: Winners are notified on or before July 31, 2023, and will be recognized at the Zeta Sigma annual Crab Feast Banquet in August 2023. Please note that funds will be disbursed once college enrollment is verified.
In addition to the application, each student must submit the following items to pbszs.education+scholarship@gmail.com with your name and Scholarship 2023 on the subject line.

a) High School Senior - from your current high school
3. Two letters of reference
a) One from an instructor, advisor or degree program mentor.
b) One from non-relative who has known the applicant for two or more years.
4. Submit an essay of 500 words or less in a business format (see below)
