Eligibility: The LeeAnn Becia Family/AFSCME Endowed Scholarship was established at Michigan Technological University by a gift from AFSCME Local 1166. Incoming students and currently enrolled students with a parent or spouse who is a current AFSCME Local 1166 member at Michigan Tech are eligible to apply.
A minimum overall grade point average of 2.50 is required. (2.50 cumulative high school GPA for incoming first-year students, 2.50 cumulative Michigan Tech GPA for current/returning students, 2.50 cumulative transfer GPA for transfer students)
There are no restrictions as to major. Recipients must be full-time undergraduate students at Michigan Tech in their first four years of college.
Value: Anticipated funding will permit the awarding of two scholarships of $250.00 for each academic year.
