This is an application to the OSU Cycle program for the Autumn 2022 semester. The Cycle program aims to foster an equitable and inclusive environment in the mathematics department, particularly for students with disabilities, women, those from underrepresented racial backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and first generation students. Cycle is a one hour per week (5:20-6:15 PM Tuesdays in-person) course which provides students with a gateway to research in mathematics.
Cycle is intended to be a two-semester sequence. The autumn semester focuses on professional development, inclusion, and getting to know the community; the spring semester provides an introduction to individualized research.
