Friends is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to celebrate and protect the Petaluma River Watershed through stewardship and education. We work to provide opportunities for the community to access, learn about and care for the Petaluma River and its environs.

We are always looking for new friends to join our team and help us reach our goals. Board Members are asked to attend monthly board meetings as well as join one of our Working Groups (Fundraising; River Greenway; Steamer Landing Park; Marketing & Public Awareness; Watershed Classroom) that meet at different intervals, from weekly to quarterly. Board Members also support fundraising and other programmatic activities as needed and when appropriate. We are also looking for Advisory Council Members, who will serve on one or more of our working groups. This is a great role for those that have skills, energy and desire to protect the River but not as much time to serve as a Board Member. /// Siempre estamos buscando nuevos amigos para que se unan a nuestro equipo y nos ayuden a alcanzar nuestras metas. Se les pide a los miembros del consejo que asistan a las reuniones mensuales y que se unan a uno de nuestros subgrupos (recaudación de fondos; proyecto del río: Greenway; Steamer Landing Park; mercadotecnia y conciencia pública; y el programa de Watershed Classroom) que se reúnen en diferentes intervalos, de semanal a trimestral. Los miembros del consejo también apoyan la recaudación de fondos y otras actividades programáticas según sea necesario y cuando corresponda. También estamos buscando miembros del Consejo Asesor, que servirán en uno o más de nuestros subgrupos.
