Native Action Network is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star Award recognizes the achievements of young Native women who through their commitment of time, energy, and volunteerism have taken their seat at the table contributing to a legacy of leadership. One woman will be selected to receive the Rising Star Award and be celebrated amongst their peers and Enduring Spirit Awardees at
the Native Women’s Leadership Forum. T
hese young Native women are leaders that have advocated powerfully within their employment or otherwise in service to their community for environmental protections, access to quality education, holistic health and wellness, cultural preservation, traditional knowledge, tribal sovereignty, strengthening of treaty rights, tribal economic development, and beyond. The 2024 Rising Star Awards will be presented during a luncheon on October 25, 2024, at the Muckleshoot Resort Casino in Auburn, WA, and coincides with our annual Native Women's Leadership Forum and Enduring Spirit Awardees. The selected Rising Star honoree will be invited to attend the entire Native Women's Leadership Forum October 24-25, 2024 and stay overnight at the Muckleshoot Resort Casino on October 24th. The honoree will also receive luncheon tickets to invite their family to attend the celebration, where they will receive a blanket, Rising Star Award, and gift basket.
