BFB #MyStory is a storytelling project and youth empowerment program founded by mental health ambassador, Sunya Afrasiabi, and led by
Bridges From Borders, Inc. (hereinafter BFB), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in Western New York. The #MyStory goal is to unite people through stories by developing immigrant narratives through the combination of oral history, narrative therapy, and portrait exhibition, which promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity.
If you are interested in sharing your story with the BFB #MyStory Program to have your story featured in life-sized portraits, podcast recordings, and/or written narratives online, please consider applying as a storyteller. Please remember that no story is too small or too unimportant. By opening your heart, you are inspiring the younger generation, sharing the diversity of our community, and contributing to cultural awareness and anti-racism efforts.
The theme of 2024 #MyStory is "Strength and Support".
The 2024 BFB #MyStory Storyteller Application Form is due by January 30, 2024.
The final BFB #Mystory name list will be announced in early February and the interviews and podcast recordings will be conducted from Feb to May 2024.
