SAR Archival Preservation Consultation

Our new Preservation Station provides free archival consultations to those visiting on-site, under general admission. For those unable to visit in person, we offer half-hour virtual Archival Preservation Consultations via Zoom. Our professionally trained archivists will answer your questions about proper handling and storage of your family collections. While we prefer to focus on two dimensional items, such as photos and documents, we can consult on some family heirlooms and/or put you in touch with someone from our museum staff for further assistance. Service is available for a donation of $15.00 or FREE for SAR members and/or Friends of the Library. When applicable, credit payments should be made via our Friends of the Library Donation Page (please select "other" to enter the $15.00 donation). 

Please allow up to one week for scheduling your Zoom appointment. In order to fill the half hour ordered, you may bring a maximum of five family items to the consulation. Once your appointment is made, a Zoom invite link will be sent to you via email.
