Program Overview: The B Impact Teams program offers a distinctive opportunity for clients to make progress toward B Corp certification, recertification or impact improvement. By participating in this program, clients will collaborate directly with a diverse team of students on a projects that aims to make progress on the B Impact Assessment (BIA). This experience allows you to help students gain real world experience and acquire practical skills while creating value for your organization.

Please review the company expectations below before starting the application:

If you have not yet started to complete the B Impact Assessment (https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/programs-and-tools/b-impact-assessment/) to take an initial pass at the full BIA.
In order to have the required information to complete the B Impact Assessment, company participants must have been in operation for at least 12 months before the start of the program.
In order to streamline communication, company participants must identify a single point person to serve as primary contact with the student team.
In order to get the most out of the experience, company participants must commit at least 2 hours a week (more for weeks with student presentations) to the Summer Impact Teams program.
In order to provide an initial project scope, company participants need to take an initial pass at the B Corp Assessment before completing the application.
The Summer BIT Program will run from June 9th - August 8th, 2025. Program is designed to be asynchronous for all participants, however the opportunity to participate in live sessions will be available during regular working hours 9AM-5PM in eastern time zone.
Participation in our Summer B Impact Teams program carries a contractual obligation, ensuring a commitment to collaborative learning and sustainable business practices. As part of this commitment, there is a cost associated with participation, which can be fulfilled as a charitable contribution to B Academics at the program's conclusion. Please refer to the fee structure below, which is based on company annual sales.

B Corp Certification: become a certified B Corporation (i.e. earn a score of 80+ on the full B Impact Assessment, meet the legal requirements, and schedule a review by B Lab, then pay the fee to make it official)

B Corp Certification: identify areas that need significant improvement (in order to become a Certified B Corp) and devise a strategy/action plan for addressing those areas

B Corp Recertification: recertify as an existing B Corp (i.e. earn a score of 80+ on the full B Impact Assessment, meet the legal requirements, and schedule a review by B Lab, then pay the fee to make it official)

Impact Improvement: learn about how to continue to improve our social impact & sustainability initiatives, so we can do more good and possibly qualify for one of B Lab's "Best for the World" awards
