Dear Timeout Moms,

Welcome! Timeout is a ministry for young moms of preschoolers, and by preschoolers, we mean kiddos from birth through age 5. Each meeting provides an inviting environment where women can come, just as they are, to build friendships, be encouraged and gain practical parenting strategies, all while their children are lovingly cared for. There is a $40 registration fee. Financial assistance is available.

Timeout childcare is making some changes! We believe these changes will be beneficial and essential as we move into the future.

#1 We will be using a tablet to check in children ages 0-2 each week. Sticker name tags will print to be put on each child, the child’s bag, and you. This is so we can keep track of things and know who should be the one picking up the child. The child’s name tag will also show any allergies, if the child can have animal crackers or if there are any special instructions you might have for the childcare workers. Please fill out the attached informational card and return it to the registration table. Use the “any other information we should be aware of” spot to list medical conditions, instructions on diaper changing, special snacks, special instructions (EX: I do not want my baby to cry. Please notify me sooner rather than later.), or anything else you think should be included.

#2 As far as notifications go, we will no longer be using the pager system that we have used in the past. We will now be sending a text message notification from our “check-in” software. The number that sends the notification is 87447. Please save this in your contacts for future reference. If we need you to return to your child, you will receive a text message telling you. You will need to keep your phone ON during

Timeout with the sound OFF, in a spot that is visible.

All infants and toddlers will be required to be signed in before entering their designated nursery room. The sign-in area will be in the room your child will be staying in during Timeout. Children who are 3 and older will do the sign in sheet like we have done in the past. It will likely take a few weeks to get the hang of this new system and the notification system.
