Dialog, community, and local finance: Property tax appeals

Property tax appeals are due April 1st. If you are over-assessed, you may be able to appeal for a lower assessment which will lower your property tax. In this 60 minute session, we'll do a high-level dive into property tax appeal math with a focus on:

  • Learning appeals-related math from NJ's "Chapter 123" law
  • Understanding key terms for self-advocacy
  • Understand how and when to file your appeal

Location: Saint Peter's University's McIntyre Hall, located on JFK Boulevard between Montgomery & Glenwood

Directions to McIntyre Hall
McIntyre Hall is located 2641 JFK Boulevard, and it's located on the corner of Montgomery & JFK. It will be accessible from the entrance located near the SPU pedestrian bridge over JFK. Walk north on JFK from Montgomery towards Glenwood and turn left into the SPU campus. The pedestrian walkway will be overhead. The entrance to McIntyre will be up your steps, on the left.
