Pulling weeds and removing non-native invasive plants so native plants and trees have room to thrive!
Feeding the animal ambassadors. I'm not afraid of mice, snakes, turtles, and raptors. Plus, opossums are super cute.
Helping around the office and Visitor Center. I like scanning documents, filing, making calls, or planning events.
Greeting people, helping them find their way along trails, and teaching them cool things you know about nature and Ijams Nature Center.
Setting up, helping to manage, and breaking down special events, from circuses to concerts to movies.
Keeping Ijams and the Tennessee River beautiful by picking up litter.
Maintaining trails, including trail resurfacing, trimming vegetation, creating new trails, and keeping boardwalks/bridges clean and in good repair.
Taking pictures of events and volunteers at Ijams.
Pulling trash and debris from the Tennessee River and associated creeks. I'm comfortable being on a boat, kayak or walking the shoreline.
