Feedback on Relief School Draft
At the start of the 2023-24 school year, CMS will open a new elementary school which will provide relief for Ballantyne, Elon Park, and Hawk Ridge elementary schools (the Polo Ridge attendance area will remain the same). Some families in each of these schools will experience a change in assignment beginning with the 2023-24 school year. The new elementary school is located at 11000 Beau Riley Rd in the current Elon Park ES attendance area. The Board is scheduled to vote on the new school’s attendance area on August 23, 2022.

Red Scenario: the children living at IMT Ballantyne Apartments, Cooper Ridge Condos, Kingsley, Kingsley Townhomes, and Oakbrooke Townhomes would move from Ballantyne ES to Elon Park ES. The children at Elon Park ES living east of Marvin Rd and Old Ardrey Kell Rd would go to the relief school. The students at Hawk Ridge ES living south of Ardrey Kell Rd would go to the relief school.
Green scenario: students living at Bexley Xing Apts, IMT Ballantyne Apartments, Cooper Ridge Condos, Kingsley, Kingsley Townhomes, and Oakbrooke Townhomes currently at Ballantyne ES, would also go to Elon Park, to offer additional relief for Ballantyne. As in the previous map, students at Elon Park ES living east of Marvin Rd and Old Ardrey Kell Rd would go to the relief school. The students at Hawk Ridge ES living south of Ardrey Kell Rd would go to the relief school.
