As a matter of information, Monarch Christian School follows the LA county department of health directives and CDC mandates for this unique childcare program. This refers to sanitation, deep cleaning, coronavirus reporting and maintaining the minimum spatial distancing. Please note the following about program details:

- We have adjusted our operating hours to be 8:00am-5:00pm. This will allow our staff to ensure proper cleaning can take place before and after the school day.
- No hot lunch option, please plan to bring a lunch everyday
- Monarch will not provide morning and afternoon snacks, please provide your own.
- Please bring a water cup (and a bottle, if necessary) that can stay at school. We will wash properly between uses and at the end of each day.
- We will have shoe-free rooms. We will leave all shoes outside of the door. Please make sure your child is wearing socks or has socks with them.
- Make sure your child has extra clothes on campus. If you are unsure, please plan to bring a couple outfits.

Please note the following additional health and sanitation details:
- Due to extra measures to keep your children safe, if your child has these symptoms, they may not come to school or will be asked to be picked up immediately:
       Fever
       Excessive cough
       Runny nose
- We will be doing health screen upon arrival, which include, checking your child's temperature and asking how they are doing.
- We require social distancing between children and teachers.
- Teachers will wear gloves and masks when handling food and drink, changing diapers, doing laundry and cleaning
- Cleaning will take place throughout the day, including toys, doorknobs, tables, chairs, toilets, sinks, diaper changing tables, vacuuming, etc.
- Older children will play on the playground and it will be sanitized after use each day.
- Cubbies will look different--we will have cardboard boxes for each child where we will store their things daily.
- Laundry will be done daily, as opposed to weekly.
- Our teachers and children will be practicing the "20/20" rule: washing their hands for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.
- We will be checking your child in and out of Brightwheel, as to lessen the use of the iPad.
