To assist members in pursuing their professional development interests, the OECTA Hamilton-Wentworth budget has earmarked a fund to help cover the costs associated with opportunities such as AQ courses, conferences, and workshops.

Each member is able to access up to $250.00 within the academic year (July 1 to June 30).
Eligible: Registration/tuition costs for AQ courses, conferences, workshops. etc. The opportunity must be directly supporting of improving one's practice in the classroom.
Excluded: Expenses like accommodations, meals, mileage/travel, books, technology, subscriptions to websites and/or magazines or the like, etc.
First come, first served. Once the fund is exhausted, no more applications will be considered.
PD must be completed between July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024.
Please note that claims for expenses incurred in previous academic school years from the current year will not be considered.
Priority given to members who did not access funds in the previous academic year.
Persons working for another board are not eligible. OECTA Hamilton-Wentworth members only.
Applications are subject to the approval of the PD committee.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

Documentation or certificate of completion. Please send notice from the university/institution that you have successfully completed the course/workshop/seminar/etc. Your OCT Certificate is not accepted.
Copy of the receipt showing that payment was received for the PD opportunity being claimed.
