Join Project Opioid's Leadership Community
The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, in partnership with the Florida Blue Foundation, has joined forces with Project Opioid Central Florida to address the Opioid epidemic. While the COVID-19 pandemic has dominated our lives for the past year, the Opioid epidemic has been surging – exacerbated by the stress of job loss, threat of evictions and the consequences of stay-at-home policies. According to the Department of Health, in 2019, Fentanyl Overdoses increased by almost 53% in Miami-Dade County.

Project Opioid Miami-Dade, an initiative of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council seeks to align business leaders to non-profit, faith, and philanthropic organizations to expand the table of advocates and concerned leaders committed to combatting the Opioid Epidemic. We aim to bring new energy, initiate new conversations, and convene the business community support this ongoing effort.

Join us in Project Opioid Miami-Dade to educate business, faith, and community leaders on how they can help save the greatest number of lives in their regions by building a coalition, creating a regional overdose initiative, and doing high-level advocacy.
