Repurpose Project (and our second store, Reuse Planet) is a non-profit community based effort that works to divert useful resources from the landfill, redirect these items to the public for art and education, inspire creativity, and help us all rethink what we throw away. In short, we are a junk shop that specializes in material not accepted by traditional thrift stores.
We are growing and searching for new members of our team at our original location, The Repurpose Project!
We are currently looking to fill a Yard / Donation Receiving position, with the following outlined expectations:

Yard / Donation Receiving:
- Responsible for customer service and merchandising in our “Yard” area which consists of lumber, architectural salvage, building materials and more.
- Working with fellow staff to determine what items from the Yard should be marketed through our online channels (Facebook, Craigslist, etc.)
- Responsible for receiving donations as well as assisting with sorting in accordance with the training manual and current guidelines.
- Must be willing to work in unfavorable weather including heavy rain, high/low temperatures and high humidity
- Have a working knowledge of the point-of-sale system as outlined in training manual
- Responsible for understanding RP pricing policy and pricing items accordingly before they go into the sales area
- Upholding our customer service standards as outlined in the handbook and training manual

For this position, we ask that you are available for at least 32 hr/wk with a 1yr commitment; we want someone who’s interested in building this organization with us over the long term, and who will be a good investment in terms of training time.

- Have weekend, weekday, and holiday availability
