The following cards serve as Tohoku University Library user's cards: Tohoku University ID cards for faculty and staff, Tohoku University ID cards for students, Tohoku University ID cards for emeritus professors, and ID cards for long-term members of Shuyukai. Those who have either of them can use Tohoku University Library without any application.

For university members who do not have a magnetic card, we will issue a user's card.
Please submit this form if you are:
-A student of Tohoku University (research student, non-degree student, etc) or
-A member of Tohoku University’s faculty and staff (part-time lecturer, researcher, etc)
*For those who do not belong to Tohoku University, please make an application at the service desk of the library.

We well send an email when your card is ready.
Please come to the service desk of Kita-Aobayama Library to receive your card.
The library staff are available from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
Please bring either of the following documents:
-If you are a
student of Tohoku University (research student, non-degree student, etc):
A paper student ID card or a document confirming affiliation and period of enrolment
-If you are a member of Tohoku University’s faculty and staff (part-time lecturer, researcher, etc):
A document confirming affiliation and period of employment
