West Purbeck Benefice -Returning to Church
We invite you to complete this questionnaire. Please fill in the form once unless you are also filling it in for other people.  We will take all comments on board. Please contact us if you have a particular point you’d like to make.

It is encouraging, and good news that public worship may again take place in the Church of England. However, the regulations that govern the safe return of worship to our churches are very comprehensive and also very demanding which means that the feel of worship will be very different to anything we have previously experienced.  We are encouraged to have Services that are short in duration and there can be no singing during worship.  Holy Communion may take place but distribution, of the host only, will not be at the altar. There has to be social distancing of 2m as far as possible at all times and people will be required to sit where they are placed in the church for worship. As we’re encouraged to all face in the same direction there will be no opportunities for greeting or chatting with people in church and there cannot be any refreshments in church after worship.
