The Trans Jews are Here Convening invites you to submit a proposal for the 2021 Convening, which will be held March 31 via Zoom. This vibrant all-day convening is your opportunity to share your stories, your experience, and your knowledge with trans Jews by developing a program for presentation at the Convening.

Proposals with a diverse group of speakers and cutting-edge topics are strongly preferred. The theme of the proposed workshop should relate to the intersection of trans or non-binary identity or expression and Judaism. Workshop slots will be 50 minutes long and will be conducted via Zoom. Each workshop leader will be assisted by a dedicated Zoom tech assistant to provide support during the workshop.

To offer the most accessibility to participants from every time zone, and for those who may not have been able to attend, we would like to make as much of the convening available on video afterwards as possible. Video will be of the speaker view, not the gallery view and we will be sure to clearly label when and where we are recording. Please note: you will have the option to pause and un-pause the recording, with the assistance of you tech support, in case there are some parts that are ok to record, but others you would prefer not be recorded. For example, the first 30 minutes are lecture (ok to record), and the last 20 minutes are participants sharing (not ok to record).
