Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2020 (Camp RYLA) Leadership Retreat Attendee Application
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a five-day, four-night leadership retreat that allows you to explore your leadership qualities and to understand the qualities of others. Attendees learn how to most effectively utilize everyone on the team and how to stay sane in this crazy, busy world. Students participate in a challenge course, explore character qualities and learn about what it takes to be a leader in the community. We accomplish all of this in unique and fun ways.  

At over 30 years old, District 5750’s RYLA has quite a long list of elite alums. Each year, about 100 new attendees and nearly 100 returning students come together from the northwestern quadrant of Oklahoma (Rotary District 5750) for a leadership experience like no other. Camp RYLA is 100% free to you! Rotarians cover all costs. Because of this, we are only looking for students who are committed and are up for the fun and the challenge. Once you have completed this form, it will be submitted to your local Rotary Club for review. Local Rotary Clubs decide how many students they wish to sponsor and who they sponsor. If selected, you will be emailed an acceptance letter. By filling out this form, you agree that if you are selected, you will make Camp RYLA a priority July 13-17, 2020.

The following information will be given to the sponsoring Rotary Club for your school.  Rotarians will then have an opportunity to evaluate your answers, as well as other applicants, and make their selection of which student or students to sponsor. Some clubs hold interviews in addition to reading the applications. Some do not. it is important that you answer honestly and put forth the best answers that represent you. While some RYLA participants have lots of previous leadership experience, some have none. We are simply looking for students, willing to grow, who want to be leaders in this world.
