Newburgh Girls Code Club
Newburgh Girls Code Club (NGCC) is a youth leadership development after-school program focused on educating youth – beginners and masters, alike – on coding and the career opportunities that come with STEM learning, based on the Girls Who Code curriculum. We invite all youth who identify as a girl or who prefer to learn in a female centered environment, ages 10-18, regardless of school status, to apply.

NGCC meets Wednesdays throughout the Spring (February 5, 2020  until April 29, 2020) from 4-6 pm at the Newburgh Free Library's Grand Street branch, located at 124 Grand Street, in the city of Newburgh. There is no class on April 8, 2020.

Bus transportation is available for regularly scheduled Wednesday programming within the NECSD school district, though you DO NOT have to be a student to enroll in this club.

In this club, you will learn:
-- What is computer science and who are computer scientists?
          -- How to write code
          -- Pair programming
-- How computers can be used to create new technology
-- How to explore different coding platforms, like Designer, Problem Solver, and Coder
-- About conventional & unconventional career paths for coders & programmers

To learn more about this program, we strongly encourage you to attend one of our info sessions at:
-- The Newburgh Free Library's TOWN branch, located in the Newburgh Mall (1401 NY-300), on Tuesday, December 10, from 6-7 pm, or
