Team Video Club Application 2019-2020, Region 5
Video clubs are professional development environments in which groups of teachers come together to view and discuss videos of one another’s teaching, with a focus on developing student mathematical understanding. Teachers video themselves teaching a class and then select one or two clips to share with other teachers when they meet together for video club. Guided by a regional mathematics specialist, teachers collaboratively build their mathematical and pedagogical knowledge for teaching by discussing the student understanding demonstrated in the clip.

Each teacher must complete an application including required information and agree to conditions set forth in the guidelines. A limited number of applications will be accepted, so please do not apply if you are not committed to being a part of a Lesson Study team in the upcoming school year.

EXPECTATIONS:
*All teachers will participate in the Video Club Orientation Meeting in the assigned location in August.
*Teachers will video themselves once each cycle and participate fully in video club discussions during all cycles in the school year.
*Participate in the Reflection Seminar to be held at the end of the school year.
*Complete a survey after each cycle of video club and a final reflection at the end of the year.
