Sacramento City Unified School District is now requiring all volunteers to complete free, on-line, Mandated Reporter training to help them identify abuse / neglect, and understand the steps to quickly report it to the proper agency. This training is available on the California Department of Social Services website at the link below. At the end of the training, there will be an exam,
after which you will be issued a certificate of
completion. Please fill-out the
'Submit Certificate of Completion' form and upload your certificate.
Please remember that the Annual Volunteer Registration form is due at the beginning of each school year in order to maintain 'Active Volunteer' Status. If it is not submitted, you will need to complete fingerprinting / background check (fee charged) and provide negative TB test results again before volunteering for the school.
*Current / continuing volunteers are those who have cleared a background check (SCUSD fingerprinting), submitted negative TB test results, and plan to volunteer, at least once, in some capacity, during the school year.
