Vancouver Public Library: Escape the International Space Station!
SCENE: International Space Station, July 2023.

You are on the International Space Station. You are looking through the observation window of the Tranquility compartment (the kitchen and exercise area), watching your two crew mates, Astrid Stargazer and Gene Ruddenberry. They are floating outside the space station on an emergency repair mission. They have just finished the first four hours of a five hour spacewalk to fix the electrical supply system. It had become overheated due to a wonky water coolant loop. Without this fix the station would become too cold to sustain life.

All of a sudden you notice that Gene has stopped working, and is gingerly easing himself in the opposite direction. He's changing the carefully crafted route that was planned for weeks for this mission! Astrid keeps working, she hasn't noticed that he's moving away. What is Gene up to? You know he's been suffering from the isolation of being in space lately....

Your computer pings and you see this message appear on screen: "I can't take it anymore! I'm leaving. I'm headed back to Earth on the capsule rocket. I knew you would try to stop me so the spacewalk was my chance to leave. I've changed the exit code for Tranquility, so you'll need to figure out the new code with these brain teasers. By the time you've got it, I should be out of here!  see you in six months! Gene"

He's headed for the return capsule! With a groan and slight butterflies in the pit of your stomach, you realize the next supply rocket isn't for six months from now, and it's dangerous to be on the station with just two crew members. Gene is about half an hour from the capsule rocket. With shaking hands, you begin the question list, WRITING DOWN EACH ANSWER IN ORDER.
