Each year, the Literacy Association of Tennessee awards a grant of up to $500 for Studies and Research. We invite all current members to apply. Proposals should be written for classroom research projects in instructional methods, non-traditional approaches, parent involvement, independent reading, book publishing, or new techniques and/or strategies.

• Priority will be given to applicants using activities and expenditures for
literacy materials
• Items such as children’s trade books, consumable materials, visuals, and
equipment may be submitted in the application

• Applicant must be a member of the Literacy Association of Tennessee prior to submission of application

• Applications are due: March 15
• Notification of awards: April 15
