STAR AWARD
Tau Tau Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) wants to honor its members for their work in fostering the mission of STTI in developing nurse leaders anywhere to improve healthcare everywhere.   The Star Award recognizes nurses in the areas of scholarship, leadership, and/or service.  

The criteria for the Star Award for each area may include one or any of the following:

Scholarship
-Mentored others in research and/or evidence-based practice
-Conducted research or led an evidence-based practice project.
-Participated on a research and/or evidence-based practice team that impacted patient care outcomes and/or promoted a healthy workplace for nurses.
-Implemented a research-based practice change.

Leadership
-Demonstrated consistent engagement in leadership activities within STTI at the chapter, regional or national level
-Demonstrated leadership in community-based or organization initiatives to improve healthcare and/or promote population-health

Service
-Demonstrated consistent volunteer hours that promotes the profession of nursing
-Demonstrated consistent volunteer hours that promote community health
