Hello, wonderful colleagues!

The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) is excited to announce the development of a series of  professional learning communities centered on the development of reflective teaching practices. What better way to kick things off than with an open, nation-wide call for participants? After all, national initiatives like LinguaFolio and the TELL Framework inspired the whole thing!

Before we get started, we need you! Please nominate yourself and/or colleagues (teachers, administrators, or district and state-level personnel) for the group by filling out the form below. Participants in the group will work together to develop their own professional reflective processes and the reflective learning practices of their students. National initiatives such as LinguaFolio and the TELL Framework (created by our colleagues at PEARLL)  will provide structuring and scaffolding to our discussions, but we will also highlight and experience other resources designed to provoke meaningful reflection.

Participants will meet over the summer in an intensive week-long session from July 8-July 12. In this session, participants will meet daily for one hour at a time selected by participants. Nominations will be accepted until June 1, 2019.
