Conversation on the Lenape-Penn Treaty Elm
Haverford College is located on the land of the Lenape Nation. The first stewards were Lenape people. It is our responsibility to continue to steward this land with a rich understanding of its history.

Join Haverfarm for a discussion of the 1682 peace treaty between Lenni-Lenape Chief Tamanend and William Penn. Visit Haverford's own Treaty Elm while we discuss the history of the treaty. What do we know, what do we guess, and where we go from here?

Saturday, November 14th 1:30-3pm

This event is open to on-campus students, staff, and faculty. We will meet at the Haverfarm and walk over to the Treaty Elm on Barclay Beach. Please RSVP using this form.
