Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival Children's Parade

Registration deadline is Sunday May 26th, 2024 at 11:59pm. If you are not sure you can make the deadline, please send an email to childrensparade@appleblossom.com.

7:30am - Church Ave blocked. Drop off access for the Children's Parade lineup will be through Church Ave. Vehicles must move after dropping off. 
8:00am - Line-up begins for registered entries
9:00am - 9:30am - Judging
10:00am - Parade starts!

Animal Entries
Animal entries are allowed in the parade. Here are a couple of guidelines to note:
  1. All animals must be kept on leash/harnessed at all times.
  2. Cleaning up after animals is the responsibility of the entrant bringing the animals. Please ensure that you are prepared to cleanup after any animals brought, including along the parade route.

A few guidelines for the Children's Parade:
  1. NO LARGE MOTORIZED VEHICLES (lawn tractors and ATVs are permitted if pulling a float.
  2. ONLY CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE PARADE - Adults may be support only. NO ADULT ENTRIES (without children).
  3. NOTHING is to be thrown on the parade route to the spectators (items must be handed out.) The safety of spectators must be respected at all times.
  4. No entry may depict anything inflammatory, controversial, or otherwise offensive, or distribute pamphlets, brochures, or any other written or printed items without express permission of the ABF.
  5. Solicitation for money or anything deemed inappropriate by the Children's Parade Director onsite or the ABF in advance is strictly forbidden and will be enforced by removal from the parade route.
  6. Commercial advertising, billboards, or blatant representation of a for-profit and not for-profit enterprise is strictly prohibited. The Children's Parade is about entertaining the children and not about advertising.
  7.  The Apple Blossom Festival will not be responsible for any injury or damages prior to or during the parade, and the parents, caregivers, support walkers that participate do so at their own risk.
  8. The Children's Parade Director has complete authority over the parade.
ABF Children's Parade Conditions and Criteria
I have read and understand this Pre-Registration Form and its rules and regulations. On behalf of the Organization/individual above and all participants in the entry, I the undersigned, agree that neither the Apple Blossom Festival, the Children's Parade Committee, nor any agent, employee, or volunteer of either assumes any responsibility for any personal injury or property damage suffered in connection with the Children's Parade howsoever caused (including negligence) and agree to release and hold harmless such parties from any claims for such injury or damage.
