GKCSCA Professional Development Scholarship
Purpose: The purpose of the Greater Kansas City School Counselor Association Scholarship is to provide professional development opportunities for school counselors and/or school counselors in training to attend the Missouri School Counselor Association Fall Conference. The goal is to provide counselors an opportunity for professional development that would not otherwise be achievable through local funding sources.
Award: The award amount will be determined by the cost of early-bird registration ($165) plus two nights of lodging (up to $107 per night plus tax). Additional travel costs such as food and gas will be the responsibility of the recipient.
Eligibility:
Must be a current and active member of GKCSCA for at least one year prior to receiving the GKCSCA Professional Development Scholarship.
Must be an active school counselor in a GKCSCA regionally affiliated school district, or a school counselor in training attending Mid-America Nazarene University, University of Central Missouri, or the University of Missouri - Kansas City
Deadline: The deadline for applications is September 15, 2021. Recipients will be notified as soon as possible so arrangements can be made to attend. Recipients will be recognized publicly at the Fall GKCSCA meeting.
